It’s Your Headshot Session
It’s good to get a good night’s sleep before your shoot to reduce any dark circles under the eyes and if you drink, limit the amount of alcohol you consume the week before as alcohol dries out the skin. Drink plenty of water which will also help. If you are planning on getting a haircut or colour, book it in a couple of weeks before your shoot to give it a chance to regain it's natural style and look and also the desired length for your photos. If you are applying makeup it’s nice to keep it fairly natural to start with and then apply a little more during the shoot if desired.
On The Day (Exciting!)
Go for clothing that makes you feel good and that you know you look good in. If you feel good you are going to be more relaxed, and that will help you look good on the day. Also pick clothes that lean toward representing characters. It's always good to have a few safe options like a black top, t-shirt or shirt and something smarter if you are wanting to show a corporate look or for police drama and doctor roles but don’t be afraid to try colours and patterns or interesting styles, and if it doesn’t work then we don’t have to use it!
Bring hair ties if you have long hair so we can try both looks and any hair products if you are wanting to change between hair styles and men if you are wanting to trim beards and stubble or shave during the shoot that’s fine too.
Once you arrive we’ll have a chat about your needs and whether there’s a particular look you are wanting to get and then we’ll get started. We’ll work through your outfits against each backdrop and then pick the best for you to choose from.
Please note that you may only use your headshots for castings, casting announcements and websites such as Spotlight, your own, business/work or agents’ website and show programmes. You are not able to use your headshots for marketing materials for commercial shows or commercial work without prior consent.
